Trump Warns Iran of Unprecedented U.S. Military Response if Attacked

President says U.S. had “nothing to do” with Israeli attacks, offers Iran-Israel peace deal

    Highlights:
    • President Trump issued a stern warning to Iran via Truth Social, denying U.S. involvement in Israeli strikes.
    • Trump promised an overwhelming American response if Iran attacks the United States “in any way.”
    • Iran’s foreign minister claims to possess evidence of U.S. support for Israel’s offensive.
    • Trump reiterated that a peace deal between Iran and Israel was still possible.

WASHINGTON – President Donald Trump issued a sharp warning to Iran late Saturday night, stating that the United States would unleash the full power of its military if Tehran launches any form of attack against American forces or assets. The message came as tensions escalated following a series of Israeli airstrikes on Iran’s nuclear and intelligence infrastructure.

“The U.S. had nothing to do with the attack on Iran tonight,” Trump posted on Truth Social. “If we are attacked in any way, shape or form by Iran, the full strength and might of the U.S. Armed Forces will come down on you at levels never seen before.”

In the same post, the president suggested that diplomacy remained possible, adding, “However, we can easily get a deal done between Iran and Israel, and end this bloody conflict!!!”

Trump’s remarks follow his vocal support for Israel’s recent strikes, which reportedly targeted high-value Iranian defense installations. “The attacks were excellent,” he previously said, also noting that the United States had been fully aware of Israel’s intentions in advance.

    Iran Responds with Accusations

In Tehran, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi responded to Trump’s denial by accusing the United States of aiding Israel’s offensive. Araghchi claimed that American regional military installations had supported the bombing campaign.

“We have solid proof of the support of the American forces and American bases in the region for the attacks of the Zionist regime military forces,” Araghchi told foreign diplomats in a televised meeting, according to the Times of Israel.

Iran’s government has yet to release the alleged evidence, but its public accusation further intensifies an already volatile regional situation.

    Background and Outlook

The overnight Israeli strikes came amid months of rising hostilities, with recent clashes between Iranian-backed militias and Israeli forces fueling fears of a broader Middle East conflict. While the U.S. administration under Trump insists on non-involvement in the offensive, American forces remain stationed in several nearby countries, including Iraq, Qatar, and Bahrain.

Observers say Trump’s dual message—of both deterrence and diplomacy—aims to prevent direct confrontation while offering a path to de-escalation. It remains unclear whether Tehran will accept his offer for a negotiated peace or escalate militarily in response to Israeli aggression.
