In a moment of pride for the global Indian diaspora and advocates of gifted education, British-Indian twins Krish and Keira Arora>, both aged 11, have been accepted into Mensa, the internationally renowned high IQ society.

Krish Arora earned a Mensa-supervised IQ test score of 162 —the highest possible for his age—placing him in the top 0.26% of children with exceptional intelligence. His sister, Keira Arora, scored an impressive 152 on the Cattell III B scale, placing her in the top 2%.

“It’s humbling to see both of them excel in such different ways. We’ve always believed in balancing discipline with creativity,” said their father, Nischal Arora.

The siblings live in Hounslow, West London, and attend a local public school. Their parents, Mauli and Nischal Arora, originally from Delhi and Mumbai respectively, have instilled a hands-on parenting style that encourages both academic rigor and artistic expression.

Krish has already completed Year 9 mathematics via the Mathletics platform and has won accolades in regional and national piano competitions. He also enjoys robotics, chess, and dreams of studying mathematics at Cambridge University to become an actuary.

Keira is a gifted writer and poet, currently serving as lead vocalist in her school’s rock band. She has aspirations of entering the legal field and becoming a commercial lawyer, with early interests in debate, literature, and performing arts.

The twins’ acceptance into Mensa has attracted admiration both in the UK and among Indian communities worldwide. Educators and psychologists alike say it underscores the importance of early talent identification and supportive home environments.

According to The Times of India, Mensa accepts individuals who score in the top 2% of the population in a standardized intelligence test. These scores are used to identify and support intellectual potential in children and adults globally.

With remarkable achievements at such a young age, Krish and Keira exemplify what’s possible when natural talent meets nurture and opportunity.
