Eleven people, including a child, were injured in an overnight Russian attack on Kyiv as of Saturday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said in a post on X.
The strikes damaged apartment buildings, offices and a theological seminary in the capital, Zelenskyy said. Civilian infrastructure was hit before an air raid alert sounded, he said, and emergency crews were working at the strike sites.
Russia launched more than 120 drones and 12 missiles overnight, half of them ballistic, according to Zelenskyy. Ukraine’s defenders “managed to shoot down most of the targets,” he said, but not the ballistic missiles.

Recovery work was also underway in the Odesa, Sumy, Kharkiv and Chernihiv regions, he said.
Zelenskyy urged Ukraine’s partners to deliver the support packages agreed at the NATO Summit. He pressed for rapid progress on Patriot licensing agreements and a joint European anti-ballistic defense project, which he described as the top priority for Ukraine’s institutions.
