Ukraine Strikes Russian Satellite Center, Zelenskyy Says

Kyiv claims a deep-strike hit on a reconnaissance facility well inside Russian territory.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Ukrainian forces struck a Russian satellite communications center in the Moscow region on Tuesday, more than 500 kilometers from Ukraine’s border.

Writing on X, Zelenskyy said the strike hit the Dubna space communications center, which he described as a facility used for reconnaissance and for coordinating Russia’s occupation forces in Ukraine.

Everything in the post comes from Zelenskyy alone, and no other party has confirmed it.

He said the operation was part of what he called Ukraine’s “long-range sanctions” campaign against Russia, and framed the strikes as a step-by-step plan to disrupt the invasion.

Zelenskyy said Ukrainian Defense Forces had recently reached four similar Russian facilities, located in the Moscow and Vladimir regions.

He said more strikes on similar sites were being prepared but named no targets or timeframe.

I thank our warriors for their accuracy. — Volodymyr Zelenskyy

Zelenskyy offered no evidence of damage, and how much the facility was hit is still unclear.

This is a developing story. Virginia Times will update as information becomes available.
