The FBI Thursday increased the reward in the search for an Arizona woman who went missing to $100,000 and released new details about the suspect they’re looking for in the case.
In a statement released by FBI Phoenix, agents stated that a review of the footage taken from the woman’s doorbell camera by the FBI’s Operational Technology Division confirmed the details of the suspect in the video released earlier in the week.
“The suspect in the video released earlier in the week is described as a white male, 5 feet 9 to 5 feet 10 inches tall with an average build. In the video, the suspect is wearing a black 25-liter Ozark Trail Hiker Pack backpack.”
Thursday marked day 12 in the search for Nancy Guthrie. The case has garnered much attention in the neighborhood where the woman lives. Neighbors were asked to review their own footage from up to a month ago in the hopes of catching a glimpse of something related to the case.
FBI activity in the area increased Thursday. Wednesday, agents searched the roadways in the area of the neighborhood where the woman lives.
Additional evidence was collected in the case Thursday. According to local authorities, more evidence was recovered in the case. This includes gloves.
According to the FBI, they’ve collected more than 13,000 tips in the case since February 1. “Each tip is vetted for credibility and potential for law enforcement action.
