At least 30 people have died and 1,033 have been injured during the Gen-Z-led protests, according to a tally by the Nepal’s Health Ministry.
The Health Ministry’s evening tally report shows that at least 30 people have died and 1,033 have been injured during the Gen-Z-led protests. 713 of the injured have been released from the hospital. The health minitry reported that 253 more people were admitted Wednesday and 55 patients were sent to other places for specialized care.
Civil Hospital has the most patients (436), followed by the National Trauma Center (161) and Everest Hospital (109). The Health Ministry says that patients are being treated in 28 facilities around the country.

The youth-led Gen-Z movement accelerated amid widespread anger over corruption, heavy security crackdowns, and poor governance. Violence, arson, and vandalism have been reported across Kathmandu and other major cities in recent days. Local officials and hospitals have confirmed multiple deaths and hundreds of injuries as demonstrations intensified. Government buildings and the homes of senior politicians have been attacked, while Nepal Army has been patrolling, curfew imposed and heightened security measures were enforced in parts of the capital.
