State Department Plans Limited-Edition Passports Featuring Trump Image, Signature

Limited-edition America250 passports are expected to be available through the Washington Passport Agency while supplies last.

The U.S. State Department is preparing a limited run of commemorative passports to mark the 250th anniversary of American independence, with new artwork that includes President Donald Trump’s image and signature, Fox News Digital reported.

State Department spokesperson Tommy Pigott told Fox News Digital that the department is preparing “a limited number of specially designed U.S. passports” as the country marks the anniversary in July.

Pigott said the passports will feature customized artwork and enhanced imagery while keeping the same security features used in standard U.S. passports.

Mockups posted on X show Trump’s image on the inside cover, surrounded by text from the Declaration of Independence and an American flag. The design also includes the president’s signature in gold. Another page shows the famous painting of the founding fathers signing the Declaration of Independence.

The commemorative passport cover has also been revised, according to the report. The words “United States of America” appear larger at the top, above the crest. The back cover features an American flag with “250” centered between the 13 stars from the 1777 version of the flag.

A State Department official told Fox News Digital that the limited-edition passports will be available to any American citizen who applies for a passport during the rollout, while supplies last. The official said the commemorative version will be available only at the Washington Passport Agency.

The launch is expected to coincide with the 250th anniversary in July, according to the official.

The current Next Generation U.S. passport was introduced in 2021 and includes updated artwork and enhanced security features, according to the State Department.

The passport plan is part of the Trump administration’s broader America250 effort. Fox News Digital reported that the broader celebration also includes a Grand Prix race on the National Mall in August and a UFC fight on the White House South Lawn in June.

Separately, the Treasury Department said in March that Trump’s signature will appear on future U.S. paper currency along with the treasury secretary’s signature. Treasury described the move as the first time a sitting president’s signature will appear on U.S. paper money.

The administration has also announced the Trump Gold Card program. The official program website says the card requires a $15,000 DHS processing fee and, after background approval, a $1 million contribution. A separate Trump Platinum Card is listed at $5 million.
