Trump Says No Uranium Enrichment, Claims Progress in Iran Talks

Trump said Washington was discussing relief with Iran while claiming no material had been moved from deeply buried nuclear sites since the strike.

President Donald Trump said Wednesday that the United States would work with Iran following what he called a “very productive” regime change.

In a Truth Social post, Trump said there would be no uranium enrichment and claimed the United States would work with Iran to remove material from deeply buried nuclear sites struck in the recent attack. He also said the sites had remained under close satellite surveillance and that nothing had been moved since the strike.

President Trump added in the post that Washington was discussing possible tariff and sanctions relief with Iran and said parts of a bigger deals had already been agreed to.

In his second Truth Social post, Trump warned that any country supplying military weapons to Iran would be hit with a 50% tariff effective immediately, with no exemptions.

Trump’s new remarks came a day after Trump paused planned U.S. military action against Iran for two weeks. The pause depended on Iran agreeing to the complete, immediate and safe reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, he said on Tuesday.

Trump also said the decision followed talks with Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Asim Munir, who he said urged him to hold off on a strike planned for Tuesday night.
