U.S. Soccer, the governing body of soccer in all its forms in the United States, announced Wednesday that Mauricio Pochettino has picked 25 players for the U.S. Men’s National Team (USMNT) camp before facing Haiti.
The U.S. plays Haiti on Nov. 14 in Miami, then again Nov. 17 in Cincinnati in the Concacaf Nations League quarterfinals. It is their first official competition of the 2030 World Cup cycle.
Pochettino called up Christian Pulisic, whose U.S. record stands at 33 goals in 90 appearances. Weston McKennie has scored 12 times in 71 games. Tyler Adams and Antonee Robinson also made the squad.
Neither Nashville SC defender Reed Baker-Whiting nor SC Paderborn midfielder Santiago Castañeda has played for the senior U.S. team. Both have a place in this camp.
Pochettino will have three goalkeepers, nine defenders, eight midfielders and five forwards at the Arthur M. Blank U.S. Soccer National Training Center.
“These players have earned the opportunity to compete and help achieve our main objective, which is to win and advance in the tournament,” Pochettino said.
When and Where to Watch
The first leg kicks off at 4:30 p.m. Eastern at Nu Stadium in Miami. Three days later, the teams play at TQL Stadium in Cincinnati, starting at 7 p.m. Eastern.
