IRIS says two seized vessels are now in Iranian waters for inspection

IRIB said the ships were seized by Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Navy and moved into Iranian waters for inspection.

The Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB), a state-owned broadcast agency, said on X that two vessels seized by Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Navy are now in Iranian territorial waters for inspection.

IRIB said the ships as MSC-FRANCESCA, which it said was linked to Israel, and EPAMINODES.

Citing the Guard Navy, IRIB said the vessels were operating without required authorization and had manipulated their navigation systems, putting maritime safety at risk.

The ships were then escorted to the Iranian coast, the post said. The update did not provide further details about the cargo or the inspection process.
