President Donald Trump said his Board of Peace has reached an agreement for the complete disarmament of Hamas and all other armed groups in Gaza, calling it a “monumental step” toward peace.
Trump announced the deal Thursday in a post on Truth Social. He described it as a major milestone in his 20-point plan for Gaza and said it would be carried out in structured phases.

He said the agreement clears the way for Gaza to be governed by a new Palestinian government that works with the Board of Peace, while giving Israel the security it deserves.
Trump thanked mediators Egypt, Qatar and Türkiye, along with his negotiating team. He said the threat that emerged from Gaza on Oct. 7 would not be allowed to rebuild.
Trump’s account is the only source for the announcement. Neither Hamas nor Israel confirmed the terms in the material reviewed.
