3 dead in Austin shooting, officials say scene remains active

Austin, Texas- Three people were pronounced dead at the scene of a shooting in Austin, Texas on Sunday afternoon, according to a tweets from the Austin-Travis County Emergency Medical Services.

The incident happened Sunday afternoon in the 9600 block of Great Hills Trail, in the Arboretum area, according to officials.

The Austin Police Department tweeted that while the scene was still active, the shooting was believed to be a domestic situation and that there was no risk to general public.

APD is currently on scene of an active shooting incident at Great Hills Trail and Rain Creek Parkway. All residents are advised to shelter in place and avoid the area. PIO en route. – PIO8

“We are still asking residents to shelter in place and report suspicious activity,” the tweet stated.
