A site in occupied Crimea used to store, prepare and launch attack drones was struck, along with depots and other Russian military targets in the occupied south and east, Ukraine’s General Staff said.
The strikes took place on Nov. 4 and through the following night, into Nov. 5. In a post on X, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine named seven targets in all.
Near Hvardiiske in occupied Crimea, Ukrainian units hit a site the Russian army uses to store attack drones, get them ready and launch them, the statement said.
Targets in the south and east
Melitopol was on the list too. A drone depot near the city, in the Zaporizhzhia region, was hit, according to the post.
An ammunition depot at Novoazovsk, in the Donetsk region, took a hit, as did a materiel depot at Prohres. Repair and recovery units were hit near Talakivka, in the same region.
In the Luhansk region, the targets were a mobile fire group near Dontsivka and repair and recovery units near Nyzhnia Duvanka.
Why Kyiv says it struck
Russian forces use the launch sites in Crimea to attack Ukrainian cities and civilian infrastructure with attack drones, the General Staff said. Striking those facilities and the drone depots reduces the intensity of such attacks, it said.
Operations against key Russian military targets will continue until Russia’s armed aggression against Ukraine is fully halted, the General Staff said. Virginia Times has previously reported Ukrainian strikes on Russian oil sites and attacks on military sites inside Russia. The claims in the post could not be independently verified.
