The military identified the Kyiv, Poltava and Dnipropetrovsk regions as the main areas targeted. Its statement did not provide casualty figures or describe the damage.

According to the air force, the attack began at 6 p.m. Oct. 29. Russia launched 113 drones, four Kh-59/69 missiles and an unspecified number of Iskander-M, S-400 and KN-23 ballistic missiles.

The drone count included Shaheds, Gerberas and Parodiya decoys. The military reported that 83 of the drones launched were jet-powered. Of the 96 drones shot down or suppressed, 71 were jet-powered.

The ballistic missiles were launched from Russia’s Voronezh, Kursk and Bryansk regions, while the four guided aircraft missiles came from the Belgorod region, according to the statement.

The air force listed drone launch directions as Russia’s Orel, Kursk and Shatalovo, along with Russian-occupied Donetsk and Hvardiiske in occupied Crimea.

The interception figures could not be independently verified. The statement did not specify the number of ballistic missiles launched or their interception results.

Several attack drones remained airborne at the time of the morning report, and Ukrainian forces were continuing efforts to intercept them.
