Another U.S. rotational unit will deploy to Estonia as part of the U.S. commitment to collective defense, U.S. Ambassador to Estonia Roman Pipko said in a statement posted on X by the U.S. Embassy in Tallinn.
Pipko said the deployment demonstrates the strength of the U.S.-Estonia relationship, with both countries committed to security in the region. The statement did not identify the unit, its size or when the rotation will begin.
In the statement, Pipko thanked Estonian colleagues for their role in hosting and training U.S. forces, calling it “another incredible example of our great partnership.”

The embassy’s post did not refer to any specific threat or incident. Separately, Estonia’s Internal Security Service, known as KAPO, has assessed that Russian security services commissioned an August arson attack on defense company Milrem Robotics in Tallinn.
Suspects in that attack were apprehended shortly afterward and remain in custody in Estonia, according to a statement from KAPO. The agency did not detail the evidence behind its assessment, and the attribution could not be independently verified.
In a post on X, Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna called the attack “absolutely unacceptable.” He wrote that Estonia’s Foreign Ministry would summon Russia’s chargé d’affaires.
KAPO assessed that the threat from Russian efforts to destabilize Estonian society will remain high in the coming years.
