Suspicious package cleared at Reagan National Airport after D Concourse evacuation

Officials said the item was cleared around 10:20 a.m. after passengers were moved from the D Concourse as a precaution.

A suspicious package located in a break room at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport led authorities to clear part of the terminal Thursday morning, according to Reagan Airport.

Airport officials said the item was located around 9 a.m. Airports Authority police established a safety perimeter, and passengers were moved out of the D Concourse as a precaution, the airport said in an update posted on X.

In a later update, Reagan Airport said the item was cleared around 10:20 a.m. by the Arlington County Fire Department. Airport operations were returning to normal, and passengers were urged to reconfirm flight times and gate assignments with their airline.

Officials did not release further details about the item.
