Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said during a press briefing on Monday that arms deliveries from Washington to Kyiv have not stopped and are unlikely to do so, the Russian state media TASS reported.
“Numerous statements were voiced about the high cost and so on, but now it seems that these supplies will be paid for by Europe,” Peskov told reporters. “Some will be paid for, some will not, but the fact is that the supply of weapons, ammunition, and military equipment to Ukraine from the United States has continued and will persist.”
Trump’s Plan Shifts Costs to Europe
President Donald Trump recently announced that the United States would send additional arms to Ukraine, including missiles for the Patriot defense systems, but made it clear that the European Union should reimburse the cost.
