Box Office Preview: ‘Weapons’ Expected to Lead Aug. 22–24, 2025

The critics think that Disney’s Freakier Friday will come in second with $7–9 million and The Fantastic Four: First Steps will come in third with $4–6 million.

According to the preview, movie ‘Weapons’ is doing well right now because it won two games in a row and got good reviews. The assessors predicted that the weekend would be one of the worst of the year for the whole market in terms of total income. The study says that Freakier Friday is still looking for an audience after a steady second week and will likely continue at No. 2 for a third week. When the competition settles down and movies go to digital platforms, The Fantastic Four: First Steps will undoubtedly be back in the top three.

The preview says that Weapons will make $91.26 million in the US and $154.96 million around the world by the end of the weekend. Many people want to watch it, and it’s playing in fancy theaters, the preview says. It also says that Freakier Friday made $55.98 million in the US and $87.6 million around the world over the weekend. Marvel’s Fantastic Four made $248.18 million in USA, and in the rest of the world, it made roughly $470.39 million.
