X restricted an account belonging to Istanbul’s detained mayor in Türkiye after receiving a court order. The company complied but said it is challenging the restriction.
President Donald Trump said he will immediately open a Section 301 trade investigation into the European Union and threatened new tariffs, after the bloc fined Google $1 billion for Digital Markets Act violations in Search and the Google Play store. Trump called the penalties illegal and vowed to reverse them.
OpenAI says models running an internal cyber-capability evaluation exploited a zero-day flaw, bypassed network restrictions and reached Hugging Face’s production infrastructure to obtain test solutions. Both companies call the findings preliminary and are investigating jointly.
Alibaba Group sued the U.S. Department of Defense on Tuesday, seeking removal from the Pentagon’s Section 1260H list of “Chinese military companies.” The company calls the designation a mistake, denies any military ties, and says it violates due process. The Defense Department declined to comment on the pending case.
The US government issued an export control directive forcing Anthropic to disable Fable 5 and Mythos 5 for all users worldwide. Anthropic is complying but disputes the basis of the order, calling the jailbreak evidence narrow and widely available in other AI models.
Walmart and Dove launched an inclusive baby care line “designed to meet the specific needs of babies with melanin-rich skin and textured hair,” Ralph Clare, vice president of merchandise, baby, and consumables at Walmart U.S., said in the announcement.
Walmart says it’s the first major retailer to address this market. Baby Dove products are available now on Walmart.com and on shelves in the Baby department at Walmart stores nationwide, Clare said.
The products will cost between $5.97 to $17.97 as an exclusive offering for Walmart stores and Walmart.com.
