Trump Says US Is ‘Totally Destroying’ Iran, Warns: ‘Watch What Happens Today’

Trump’s Truth Social warning came as the Israeli military detailed fresh strikes in Iran and Hezbollah-linked sites in Lebanon.

President Trump said early Friday that the United States was “totally destroying” Iran, escalating his rhetoric as the Israeli military released new details of strikes it said targeted sites in Iran and Hezbollah infrastructure in Lebanon.

In a post on Truth Social, Trump said Iran was being hit “militarily, economically, and otherwise” and accused The New York Times of giving a false impression that the campaign was not succeeding. He claimed Iran’s navy was gone, its air force was no longer functional, and that its missiles, drones and other assets were being decimated.

Trump also said the United States had “unparalleled firepower, unlimited ammunition, and plenty of time,” before adding: “Watch what happens to these deranged scumbags today.” He went on to say Iran had been “killing innocent people all over the world for 47 years” and wrote that, as the 47th president of the United States, he was now “killing them.”

The Israel Defense Forces on Friday said strikes were continuing against what it called the “Iranian terror regime” and Hezbollah-linked infrastructure across southern Lebanon.

According to the IDF statement, Israeli forces struck assets of the Al-Qard Al-Hassan Association and other financial targets tied to Hezbollah in Beirut. The military said recent strikes against the association had “effectively and completely disrupted its operations.”

The IDF also said about 10 Hezbollah weapons storage facilities were struck in the Beqaa Valley. In another area between the Litani and Zahari rivers, it said several storage facilities were hit after launches toward Israeli territory were carried out from there earlier this week.

In Iran, the IDF said it struck an underground ballistic missile storage and production facility in Shiraz, a central base for the aerial defense array and several production sites for weapons, air defense systems and ballistic missile components in Tehran, and command centers in Ahvaz, including the IRGC’s Ground Corps and a central command center of the Internal Security Forces.

The Israeli military said measures were taken before the strikes to reduce the risk of civilian harm. Neither Trump’s claims about the extent of damage in Iran nor the IDF’s operational claims were independently verified in the source material provided.
