Trump Threatens More Strikes After Post on Destroyed Iran Bridge

Trump’s Truth Social post escalated tensions after reports of an airstrike on a key bridge west of Tehran.

President Donald Trump on Thursday threatened further attacks on Iran after writing in a post on Truth Social that “the biggest bridge in Iran” had come down and warned that there was “much more to follow.” In the same post, Trump urged Iran to make a deal “before it is too late.”

A DPA report said the bridge was a major highway bridge in Karaj, west of Tehran. Iranian media had already reported the airstrike. The report said there was no immediate information about the dead and injured.

Trump also posted a short video on Truth Social showing the damaged bridge with smoke rising nearby. The DPA report described the structure as 132 meters high and said it was an important commuter route linking Karaj with Tehran.

The latest threat followed earlier remarks in which Trump signaled more military action. DPA reported that he had said in a national address that Iran would be hit “extremely hard” over the next two to three weeks. The report said those comments drew strong backlash from many Iranians, including some government opponents.

What comes next remains unclear. Trump wrote that there was “much more to follow.”
