Trump Dismisses WSJ Report on Ukraine Strikes as ‘Fake News’

Trump disputes a WSJ claim of a policy shift on Ukraine’s long-range strikes, insisting the U.S. has “nothing to do” with those missiles.

President Donald Trump on Wednesday rejected a Wall Street Journal report claiming his administration li fted the prohibition against Ukraine using Western-supplied long-range missiles to strike within Russia, terming it “fake news.”

In a post on Truth Social, Trump wrote:“The Wall Street Journal story on the U.S.A.’s approval of Ukraine being allowed to use long range  missiles deep into Russia is FAKE NEWS! The U.S. has nothing to do with those missiles, wherever they may come from, or what Ukraine does with them!”

The Wall Street Journal earlier reported that the Trump administration ea sed a key restriction, allowing Kyiv to strike deeper into Russian territory with Western-supplied long-range missiles like  the Storm Shadow.

The WSJ cited US officials who explained that the new guidance made Ukraine’s recent attack on a Bryansk chemical factory easier. The report said the move was a shift in Washington’s wartime policy.
