Trump Calls NATO a ‘Paper Tiger’ Over Iran and Strait of Hormuz

President Donald Trump on Friday attacked NATO allies in a post on Truth Social, calling the alliance a “paper tiger” without the United States and accusing member countries of refusing to join what he described as the fight against Iran.

Trump wrote that the fight was now “Militarily WON” and said NATO countries were complaining about high oil prices while not helping reopen the Strait of Hormuz, a key route for global energy shipments.

In the post, Trump said opening the strait would be “a simple military maneuver” and claimed it was “the single reason for the high oil prices.” He did not provide further details or evidence in the message.

Trump also accused NATO allies of staying out of the conflict when the risk was higher, then objecting once the immediate danger had eased. He ended the post by calling them “COWARDS” and writing that “we will REMEMBER!”
