Savanah Hernandez Says She Was Assaulted During Anti-ICE Protest in Minneapolis

Journalist says she was pushed to the ground outside the Whipple Federal Building during an anti-ICE demonstration.

Turning Point USA journalist Savanah Hernandez said she was shoved to the ground during an anti-ICE protest outside the Whipple Federal Building in Minneapolis on April 11 and woke up the next morning with a headache and stiff neck.

In a post on X, Hernandez said Chris Ostroushko pushed her and had to be held back by several men as he continued moving toward her. She said she had not spoken to him during the day and alleged that he repeatedly insulted her during the confrontation.

In a second post, Hernandez said the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office told her that three people who assaulted her would be charged. She identified them as Chris Ostroushko, his wife DeYanna, and their daughter Paige.

Hernandez also posted video that she said showed Paige Ostroushko being arrested after the incident. She thanked the sheriff’s office and said deputies drove her to safety after the confrontation.
