USGS says the quake struck offshore southeast of Sarangani at a depth of 99.6 kilometers.

A magnitude 6.0 earthquake was recorded 90 kilometers southeast of Sarangani, Philippines, on Saturday, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. USGS said the quake struck at 10:34:31 UTC at a depth of 99.6 kilometers. 

The epicenter was offshore, southeast of Sarangani in the southern Philippines. No immediate reports of damage or injuries were reported.

There was also no immediate indication of a tsunami warning or other hazard bulletin tied to the quake.

More details may emerge from Philippine authorities if the quake was felt in nearby communities.
