On Monday, the Russian Defense Ministry said that Russia carried out a coordinated strike against targets across Ukraine overnight into Monday, hitting military-industrial sites and energy facilities. The high-precision, long-range weapons that were used included air-launched “Kinzhal” hypersonic missiles and strike drones, according to the ministry.
The strikes also hit “military airfield infrastructure and repair bases for Ukrainian Armed Forces weapons and equipment,” the ministry said, adding that all designated targets were struck. The statement did not specify locations or provide battle damage assessments.
In a separate update, Russian air defenses reportedly intercepted a rocket fired by a U.S.-made HIMARS system and downed 365 Ukrainian drones over the past 24 hours. The claims could not be independently verified.
Moscow has intensified long-range attacks on Ukraine’s energy grid and defense industry through the fall, while Kyiv reports frequent drone and missile barrages and says it intercepts the majority of incoming weapons.
Ukraine had no immediate official response to Monday’s Russian claims.
