Russia’s Overnight Barrage Hits Ukraine; At Least 4 Killed, 26 Injured

At least four dead after drones and missiles hit multiple regions; Dnipro apartment building struck.

Russia launched a wide overnight barrage across Ukraine, killing at least four people and injuring 26.

Ukraine’s air force said Russia fired 503 projectiles—458 attack drones and 45 missiles—across central and eastern regions. Air defenses shot down 415, while 78 strikes hit 25 locations, according to the Ukrainian Air Force.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said the targets “remain the same: ordinary life, residential buildings, our energy system, and infrastructure.” He added that rescue operations were underway and urged allies to increase sanctions and deliver additional air defenses.

Dnipro was among the hardest hit. Three people were killed and 11 injured after a drone struck an apartment building, local officials said; children were among the wounded. Three more were injured in the nearby Samarskyi district, and damage was reported across several neighborhoods.

Zelenskyy also reported one death in Kharkiv and injuries in the Kyiv and Poltava regions. Strikes and alerts were recorded in the Dnipro, Kirovohrad, Mykolaiv, Sumy, and Chernihiv regions, with Odesa under attack since Friday evening, Zelenskyy said.

Officials said that the number of injuries and deaths could go up as rescue personnel clear away debris and look at the damage done to electricity and civilian facilities.
