Nepal’s Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak has submitted his resignation to Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli at a cabinet meeting on Monday night, according to local news reports.
Lekhak stepped down, stating he had to accept “moral responsibility” for what happened.
He had also told the party meeting before that he would not take the job because of moral reasons.
The Gen-G’s demonstration on Monday turned violent resulting in 19 people confirmed have died and 347 injured people now receiving treatment is several hospital facilities, the outlets reports.

The Ministry of Health said that 3 individuals died at the Civil Hospital in Kathmandu, 8 at the National Trauma Center, 3 at Everest Hospital, 2 at KMC Hospital, 1 at the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital, and 2 at the BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences.
