A former office manager at the Venetian Gardens Nursing Home in Ohio has been indicted on 56 felony counts of theft after more than 50 nursing home residents were allegedly targeted in a scheme that took place over several years and exceeded $300,000.
Christina Williams, 51, of Colerain, is accused of stealing money from residents’ accounts, according to an official statement released by the Goshen Township Police Department. Police said the indictment followed a presentation to the Clermont County Grand Jury last week.
The case was first reported to the Goshen Township Police Department in May 2025, when Venetian Gardens Nursing Home contacted authorities and accused a former employee of stealing from resident accounts. The case was assigned to the department’s Criminal Investigations Unit, where detectives developed evidence showing Williams, who served as the business office manager, allegedly took money from more than 50 residents’ accounts over several years.
Police said the investigation took hundreds of hours and involved reviewing records tied to dozens of separate cases to determine the total value of what was allegedly stolen. Police also said Venetian Gardens staff provided information that helped move the case forward, and they thanked the Clermont County Prosecutor’s Office for assistance during the investigation.
The department said the investigation remains ongoing, adding that police are committed to protecting community members — particularly vulnerable residents — and holding the perpetrator accountable for the crime committed.
