KYIV, Ukraine — Two people died and a passerby was injured when a drone struck an apartment building in Kyiv on Wednesday morning, Ukraine’s National Police reported.
The drone hit the building near the 20th floor in the Sviatoshynskyi district and started a fire, according to the police statement. Officers helped emergency crews put out the flames and found two bodies inside.
A 46-year-old man was walking past the building when the attack occurred. Police gave him first aid before he was taken to a hospital.
In the capital’s Desnianskyi district, about 10 vehicles burned as a result of the attack, the statement said. Police were documenting the damage at both locations.
The police account, published Wednesday, did not identify those killed or give details about the injured man’s condition. Virginia Times has not independently verified the casualty figures or damage.
