Six people were killed and another was injured when a fire swept through a cosmetics factory in the Di lovasi district of Kocaeli province on Saturday, according to Xi nhua news agency.
The factory is located in northwestern Türkiye, which is an industrial area with chemical and heavy manufacturing plants.
Xinhua reported that the office of Governor Ilhami Aktas said that several fire units were sent to the scene after an emergency call and bl aze was brought under control.
Authorities have opened an investigation to determine the cause.
Officials did not immediately release the victims’ identities or details on the injured person’s condition.
