Jennifer Lopez and Diego Luna headline a bold new take on Kiss of the Spider Woman, directed by Bill Condon and now slated to open in U.S. theaters on October 10. The film’s official site lists that date for the theatrical rollout.

Condon’s version mixes gritty jail realism with stylish musical numbers, using the Kander & Ebb stage hit as a starting point to show the close relationship between two cellmates.
