American singer-songwriter Jessica Lynn will travel to Nepal for a musical collaboration and live performance with Nepali artists, the U.S. Embassy Nepal announced.
The event is part of the Arts & Music Envoy Program. It will place Lynn’s country-rock style alongside Nepal’s musical traditions in a joint performance, according to the embassy.
The schedule on Lynn’s official website lists a U.S. Embassy welcome reception at Kathmandu Marriott at 5 p.m. Aug. 26 and an appearance at The Plaza in Lalitpur at 4 p.m. Aug. 29.
Both listings direct readers to contact the embassy for further details or an invitation.
The embassy described the visit as both a professional exchange and a performance. It said the program is intended to help Nepal’s creative sector and deepen artistic and professional ties between the two countries.
A U.S. Department of State profile describes Lynn as a New York singer-songwriter working across country, pop and rock. It says she has toured more than 14 countries and appeared in three full-length television concert specials.
The embassy’s announcement did not identify the participating Nepali artists. It said free registration and further concert details will be announced later.
