Former Fox News producer Jennifer Eckhart has been arrested in Palm Beach County, Florida, after allegedly attacking her boyfriend for trying to end their relationship, according to a report by the Daily Mail.
The 34-year-old former journalist, who previously made headlines for settling a high-profile sexual assault lawsuit against ex-Fox News anchor Ed Henry, was booked by the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office on Wednesday for battery charges. She was later released on her own recognizance and did not have to post bail.
Caught on Camera
According to the police affidavit obtained by the Daily Mail, Eckhart “struck, screamed, and became combative” with her boyfriend Thomas Beasley during the incident. The altercation was reportedly filmed by Beasley, capturing Eckhart yelling, grabbing his shirt, ripping it, and demanding that he delete the footage.
Background and Career
Eckhart spent over seven years working for Fox Business Network as a producer and journalist, ending her tenure in June 2020 amid the sexual misconduct controversy involving Ed Henry. She has also worked with NBC Sports Group and PBS.
