A house in the Al-Daraj neighborhood of Gaza City was attacked by Israeli forces early this morning, resulting in the deaths of at least 20 Palestinians, according to a report by the state-run Palestine TV, as quoted by The Xinhua news agency.
The bodies of the 20 victims, referred to as martyrs, were confirmed to have been recovered by the Palestinian Civil Defense after the bombing, as reported by the news agency. The Al-Daraj neighborhood, a densely populated area in the heart of Gaza City, has been the site of recent clashes between Israeli forces and Palestinian militants.
The Gaza-based Health Ministry updated the Palestinian death toll from the ongoing Israeli attacks on the strip to 23,843. In a press statement, the ministry reported that the Israeli army had killed 135 Palestinians and wounded 312 others in the past 24 hours.

Since the outbreak of the Israel-Hamas conflict on October 7, 2023, there have been 60,317 injuries among Palestinians in the enclave. The statement noted that a significant number of victims are believed to be under the rubble of destroyed buildings, inaccessible to ambulance and civil defense crews.
