An adult man was found dead in the median of Fairfax County Parkway on Tuesday morning, prompting a police investigation, authorities said.
According to Fairfax County Police, officers responded to the area of Fairfax County Parkway and Old Plains Road in the Navy area, where the man was located lying in the median. He was declared deceased at the scene, police said.
Detectives remained on scene Tuesday morning as the investigation continued. Fairfax County Police said details were limited and did not immediately release the man’s identity or the circumstances leading to his death.
The case is being handled as a death investigation, police said.
