Clintons to testify in House Epstein depositions as they push for public questioning

Hillary Clinton and Bill Clinton are scheduled for House depositions tied to the Epstein investigation as both call for public testimony.

Former Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton is scheduled to testify in a closed-door deposition in New York before the House Oversight Committee on Thursday as part of its investigation related to Epstein. Her husband, former President Bill Clinton, is scheduled to testify before the panel on Friday, the panel announced.

Prior to her scheduled deposition, Hillary Clinton asked the House Oversight Committee to make the questioning public, saying she and her husband have already testified under oath before the panel. “I have testified under oath before the House Oversight Committee, so has my husband,” she said, challenging the panel’s chairman, Rep. James Comer, to make the questioning public.

Former President, Bill Clinton also asked for a public process, saying he has already given a sworn statement.

Rep. William Timmons, a member of the House Oversight Committee who is a Republican, announced he would be traveling to New York to depose the Clintons, saying he would want full transparency.

These depositions come after several weeks of back-and-forth between the Clinton duo and the House Oversight Committee after they initially declined to testify before the panel under subpoena over Epstein’s network and whether he ever made contact with influential people.

Epstein, a wealthy financier, was arrested in 2019 on federal charges of sex trafficking minors and died later in the year in a New York City jail cell while he was awaiting trial.
