Zelenskyy Reports Russian Strikes Kill 3, Ukraine Hits Russian Sites

Russian strikes overnight and Sunday morning killed two people in Kryvyi Rih and one in Sumy, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said in a post on X.

Fourteen others were injured in Kryvyi Rih, according to the post. Six people were injured in Kyiv and the surrounding region. Fires in the capital were quickly extinguished, and emergency work continued.

Zelenskyy reported ballistic missile strikes in Kremenchuk and Kryvyi Rih. He accused Russia of targeting civilian infrastructure wherever its ballistic missiles could reach.

Air raid alerts continued across many regions Sunday morning. Zelenskyy said Russia had launched another wave of drones.

The president reported that 13 regions came under attack during the week. Russia launched more than 1,550 attack drones, nearly 1,560 guided aerial bombs and 62 missiles at Ukrainian cities and communities, according to his account. Most of the 62 missiles were ballistic missiles of various types.

Zelenskyy thanked State Emergency Service units, police and medics. He urged Ukraine’s partners not to leave European interceptors in storage, saying North Korean ballistic missiles were destroying infrastructure and taking lives in Europe.

“Russia must be stopped,” he wrote.

Ukrainian Strikes Inside Russia

A day earlier, Zelenskyy reported results from Ukrainian long-range strikes against three sites inside Russia in a separate post published Saturday.

Ukrainian forces hit the Progress Center in Russia’s Samara region, he wrote, describing it as one of the key enterprises within Roscosmos and saying its work included electronics production.

Flamingo missiles were used, according to the post. Zelenskyy placed the site about 900 kilometers from Ukraine’s border.

He also reported a strike on the Savasleyka air base, roughly 700 kilometers from Ukraine. Zelenskyy described it as a base for Russian missile carriers used in attacks against Ukrainian cities and villages.

At an oil facility in Ust-Luga, more than 800 kilometers from Ukraine’s border, Zelenskyy said Ukraine had confirmed the damage it intended to inflict.

He thanked the units involved for their accuracy and described the operations as part of Ukraine’s continuing plan of “long-range sanctions” aimed at reducing Russia’s capacity to wage war. The need for peace must be made evident in Russia through damage to specific facilities, he said.
