A Russian guided aerial bomb collapsed part of a 10-story apartment building in Kramatorsk, killing one person and injuring 16, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Friday.
One section of the Donetsk region building gave way from the first through the sixth floor, according to his post on X.
Zelenskyy also reported two deaths, including a child, in Stepanivka, Sumy region, where a “shahed” struck a private home. In Smila, Cherkasy region, a Russian drone hit a nine-story apartment building, setting fires on several floors and injuring five people.
Nine other regions — Kherson, Dnipro, Zaporizhzhia, Odesa, Kharkiv, Zhytomyr, Kirovohrad, Mykolaiv and Chernihiv — came under attack overnight, Zelenskyy wrote. People were hurt in those regions, including children, and apartment buildings, private homes and infrastructure sustained damage, he wrote.
Everyone hurt is receiving medical care, according to Zelenskyy.
Zelenskyy claimed Russia uses about 220 guided aerial bombs daily against frontline communities. Its defense industry continues producing and modifying them despite sanctions, he wrote.
Zelenskyy urged pressure on every supply chain for foreign components.
