President Donald Trump said Monday in a Truth Social post that he will host a July 4 “Tribute to America” rally at the Lincoln Memorial and Washington Monument, with military music, flyovers, airshows, keynote remarks and fireworks.
The event is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. EST in Washington, D.C., Trump said.
Trump said more than 300 members of military bands, orchestras and ceremonial units will perform patriotic music and American classics near the Reflecting Pool.
Trump described the planned performance as the largest formation of joint military music and ceremonial performances in history. He also said the program would include military flyovers and airshows.

Trump said he will deliver keynote remarks and that the event will conclude with what he described as the largest fireworks show in history.
In a separate Truth Social post, Trump said Wednesday, June 24, will mark the kickoff of a summer-long celebration of 250 years of American independence.
The June 24 event is scheduled for 7 p.m. EST at the Freedom 250 Great American State Fair on the National Mall, Trump said.
Trump said the event will include music from U.S. Army and Marine Corps military bands, Christopher Macchio and Lee Greenwood, who will perform “God Bless the U.S.A.” He also said military flyovers will feature fighter jets and stealth bombers.
