At least 12 people were shot Sunday near Toledo’s Old West End Festival, leaving two in critical condition as police continued searching for the suspect or suspects involved.
Toledo Police officers responded at approximately 5:37 p.m. to a report of a person shot near Delaware Avenue and Glenwood Avenue, according to the Toledo Police Department. Upon arrival, officers found multiple victims.
Ten victims are reported in stable condition. Two remain critical, police said.
Police said many of the injured were taken to nearby medical facilities for treatment.
Police said the investigation covers areas near Delaware Avenue and Robinwood Avenue. Authorities are asking residents and visitors to avoid the area and expect a significant police presence while the search continues.
No suspect or suspects have been identified publicly. The Toledo Police Department said additional information will be released as it becomes available.
