IDF Renews Ceasefire Enforcement as U.S. Warns of Hamas Plot

Israeli military moves to enforce the truce as Washington flags a possible Hamas plot against civilians in Gaza.

The Israel Defense Forces said it has “begun the renewed enforcement of the ceasefire” with Hamas, following “a series of significant strikes” carried out in response to violations. The military added it “will continue to uphold the ceasefire agreement and will respond firmly to any violation.”

Earlier, the IDF said it struck “dozens of Hamas terror targets across Gaza,” including weapons storage sites, firing posts, “terrorist cells,” and other infrastructure, and said  it dismantled roughly 6 km of underground tunnels using more than 120 munitions.

on  Saturday, the U.S. Department of State said it had “credible reports” that Hamas may be planning an imminent attack against Palestinian civilians in Gaza—  an act it warned would be a “direct and grave violation” of the ceasefire and would “undermine the significant achievements” of recent mediation efforts.

President Donald Trump also warned Hamas in a Truth Social post that “If Hamas continues to kill in Gaza, which was not included in the deal, we will have no choice but to go in and eliminate them.”
