The Egyptian Presidency said that US President Donald Trump and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi will co-chair an international meeting in Sharm el-Sheikh on Monday to stop the war in Gaza and set up a new framework for stability in the Middle East.
More than 20 countries will be represented at the “Sharm el-Sheikh Peace Summit” on Monday afternoon, October 13, 2025. The presidency said that the Gaza conflict and other issues related to regional security are on the agenda.
The proclamation said that the summit’s goals are to help stop the war in the Gaza Strip, help bring peace and stability to the Middle East, and bring a new generation of security to the area.
It was in accordance with President Trump’s plan to move forward with efforts to make peace.
As of Sunday morning, the entire list of attendees had not yet been made public. The host country will disclose more information when the conference gets underway.
