Walt Disney will raise U.S. rates for Disney+ next month, continuing a steady climb in streaming prices. The change takes effect Oct. 21.
According to Disney’s Help Center, the ad-supported Disney+ plan will increase by $2 to $11.99 a month. The ad-free Premium tier will rise by $3 to $18.99. Annual Premium pricing will move to $189.99.
The update extends a trend that has seen major platforms nudge prices higher as they emphasize profitability over pure subscriber growth. For customers, the new figures set a higher baseline heading into the fall TV and film slate.
Disney’s Help Center lists current plan options and the new rates that start Oct. 21. Subscribers can review choices there to decide whether to stay ad-supported, upgrade to Premium, or switch billing frequency before the changes kick in.
