At 4,700 meters above sea level in Nepal’s Lo Manthang, Mustang, the fourth edition of the “Top of the World Golf Classic” will be held September 13–14, 2025, at the Lo Manthang Golf Course, the organizers announced at a press conference in Pokhara. Independent News Service (INS) reported that more than 60 golfers from Nepal and abroad are expected to compete.
The tournament, expanded from 9 holes to 18 this year, will run in Stableford format and offer multiple category prizes, including overall winner and runner-up, best gross, ladies’ winner, seniors’ winner, closest to the pin, most birdies, and longest drive. Cash awards of NPR 30,000, 20,000, and 10,000 will accompany trophies—while a hole-in-one will earn a horse, according to the organizers.
The 2025 theme, “Tee for Climate,” aims to spotlight Mustang’s climate stress; the event will also feature local arts, culture, and music, with support from the Gandaki Province government, Lo Manthang Rural Municipality, and partner groups. Organizers estimate the budget at NPR 1–1.2 million.
