Trump Threatens Lawsuit Over WSJ Report Linking Him to Epstein Birthday Letter

The Wall Street Journal ignited controversy Thursday after publishing a report detailing a graphic letter said to be part of a 2003 birthday collection gifted to Jeffrey Epstein on his 50th birthday. Among the crude contributions: a naked female sketch reportedly signed “Donald” in the place of pubic hair, accompanied by a typewritten message ending with, “Happy Birthday — and may every day be another wonderful secret.”

The letter was reportedly reviewed by WSJ journalists as part of their investigation into Epstein’s network of associates, including correspondence from friends and celebrities.

Trump’s Denial and Threat

President Trump responded forcefully to the report, taking to Truth Social to denounce the WSJ article as “fake” and “a scam.” He claimed the letter was not authored by him and criticized Rupert Murdoch, stating he warned the media mogul not to publish it.

According to the Wall Street Journal report, the letter was among several presented in a scrapbook-like format to Epstein, prepared by Ghislaine Maxwell and others in his circle. The letter’s origin remains under scrutiny, and WSJ noted that Trump’s signature style and tone could not be conclusively verified.
