U.S. President Donald J. Trump announced a dramatic breakthrough on Truth Social Monday, claiming that Israel and Iran have agreed to a “Complete and Total CEASEFIRE” to formally end what he labeled “THE 12 DAY WAR.”
According to the president’s official post, the ceasefire will take effect approximately six hours from the time of his announcement, once both sides have concluded their ongoing final military operations. The agreement reportedly calls for a two-phase ceasefire: Iran will initiate the first 12-hour truce, followed by Israel’s 12-hour observance, after which the war will be considered over.
The president praised both nations for their “Stamina, Courage, and Intelligence,” emphasizing that the war “could have gone on for years, and destroyed the entire Middle East, but it didn’t, and never will.”
President Trump also stated that “God bless Israel, God bless Iran, God bless the Middle East, God bless the United States of America, and GOD BLESS THE WORLD,” underlining his hope that the ceasefire will hold and mark the beginning of a peaceful future in the region.
The White House has not yet released an official statement confirming the ceasefire arrangement with defense or intelligence agencies, and independent verification from Israeli or Iranian officials remains pending.
