Trump Addresses Nation After U.S. Bombs Iran Nuclear Sites

President Trump delivers national address after ordering airstrikes on three Iranian nuclear facilities.

In a televised address to the nation on Saturday night, President Donald J. Trump confirmed that the United States had carried out “massive precision strikes” on three Iranian nuclear facilities, calling the operation a “spectacular military success.”

“Iran’s key nuclear enrichment facilities have been completely and totally obliterated,” the president said. The statement marked the administration’s most forceful action yet in the ongoing Middle East conflict, as Trump warned of further strikes if Iran does not agree to diplomatic terms.

Full Praise for U.S. and Israeli Forces

During his nationally televised address, President Trump praised the American military and thanked the Israeli Defense Forces for their role in joint strategic coordination.

“I want to thank the Israeli military for the wonderful job they’ve done, and most importantly, I want to congratulate the great American patriots who flew those magnificent machines tonight and all of the United States military on an operation the likes of which the world has not seen in many, many decades,” Trump said.

The president singled out his top military leadership, adding: “I also want to congratulate the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Dan ‘Razin’ Caine, spectacular general, and all of the brilliant military minds involved in this attack.”

Netanyahu Responds: “History Will Record This Moment”

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu released a public video address thanking President Trump for the U.S. airstrikes. He called the operation “a pivot of history” and praised Trump’s leadership as unmatched in the global arena.

“Congratulations President Trump, your bold decision to target Iran’s nuclear facilities with the awesome and righteous might of the United States will change history… America has done what no other country on Earth could do… Peace through strength. First comes strength, then comes peace.” — Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu

    What’s Next?

Trump indicated that further strikes could follow if Iran refuses diplomatic negotiations. While the administration has yet to outline conditions for de-escalation, the president reiterated that “Iran must now agree to end this war.”

The international community is expected to issue statements in the coming hours. NATO and UN Security Council meetings have reportedly been scheduled for emergency review.
