Famous Ukrainian film editor Viktor died in the war

Famous Ukrainian film editor Viktor Onysko has died in the fighting for Ukraine, the Ukrainian Defense announced on Monday.

His wife Olga Birzul also wrote this on her page on the social network Facebook. According to her, he was on the front line twice – in the Kherson and Donetsk regions. The husband left a small daughter.

“You had to edit a movie, but instead you “edited” military reality as a company officer. Two times at zero – Kherson region and Donbas. Without any opportunity to see each other. You were very tired, but you took care of your brothers. You worried about every loss,” she wrote she.

Screenwriter and director Dmytro Sukholitkyi-Sobchuk noted that Victor was a man with a big heart, strength of spirit, a keen sense of justice, and fierce truth in every word, look, and deed.
