Investigators are now reviewing a new digital clue in the Nancy Guthrie case after reported search activity for her Tucson address spiked weeks before she vanished, adding another layer to an already high-profile abduction investigation.
PEOPLE reported that Google Trends data showed 63 Arizona searches for her address on Dec. 5, 2025, and 66 more on Dec. 10, before the volume dropped again.
Nancy Guthrie, 84, the mother of “Today” show co-host Savannah Guthrie, was last seen at her residence on the night of Jan. 31 and was reported missing the following day.
The investigators drew attention to the surveillance video showing a masked individual trying to hack her doorbell camera, and they also drew attention to the ransom notes that were sent to local news channels. The blood on the porch was identified to be Nancy Guthrie’s DNA, while other evidence is still being tested.
The suspect was described by FBI Phoenix as a man with an average build, 5-foot-9 to 5-foot-10, wearing a black Ozark Trail Hiker Pack backpack. The search has now entered its third week, and no suspect has been named.
Fox News first reported the address-search spike. Separately, Sheriff Chris Nanos told local media the family has been fully cooperative and is not considered suspect, saying they are “victims.”
